The Balcon de Europa, Nerja, with altocumulus lenticularis cloud, formed in the turbulent air above the Sierra Aljimara, set on fire by the sunrise.
This picture was also taken in Nerja around 8 years ago, a smaller version of the altocumulus lenticularis cloud, taken at sunset when it looks more like a flying saucer. This was the first time I'd seen this type of cloud and I was really thrilled but as it turned out, they are a fairly common sight in these parts, slowly drifting out to sea where they dissipate a mile or two off shore.
